NRP and 100 Mile Makers Host Spicy Dance Party to Raise Awareness of Food Insecurity On-Island

Nantucket Resource Partnership (NRP) and 100 Mile Makers hosted a Spicy Dance Party on Stroll weekend to raise awareness about food insecurity on Nantucket. Nearly 50% of Nantucket Public School children and 26% of island residents experience food insecurity. 

NRP is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose purpose is to create a truly food-secure Nantucket. Food insecurity is a growing issue on Nantucket. Several local organizations are already addressing elements of the overall need. NRP fosters collaboration between island organizations to create an efficient and sustainable food security system. Common goals, shared evaluation models, and connected systems will result in the change that you can bring our vision to life: an island where everyone has the food they need to thrive.
