Nantucket Film Fest Presents Ruth Reichl + The Politics of Food to support Nourishing Nantucket

The Nantucket Film Festival on Thursday, June 22 will present “Ruth Reichl + The Politics of Food,” a special evening to bring together people invested in the lands they farm and the food that is brought to the table.

The panel will include former Gourmet magazine editor-in-chief Ruth Reichl and local leaders who are collaborating and innovating to solve issues that are at the heart of the local food system, including former Boarding House and Pearl owner Angela Raynor, Pip & Anchor co-founder Maymi Hattori, Washashore Farm’s Dan Southey, and entrepreneur Matt Haffenreffer.

The event will be a fundraiser for Sustainable Nantucket and Nourishing Nantucket.

The evening will feature a conversation on the wonders of food and its delicacies, and also the politics of farm to table, shining a spotlight on local challenges and inspiring solutions.
