About Nantucket Resource Partnership:

NRP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a truly food-secure Nantucket. We foster collaborations between island organizations to create an efficient and sustainable food security system.

Job Responsibilities:

As a summer intern at NRP, you will play a vital role in our efforts to address food insecurity through social media outreach, aiding with event coordination, and providing administrative support. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Social Media Outreach:
  • Assist in managing and updating our social media platforms, including Facebook, and Instagram.
  •  Suggest compelling content to raise awareness about food insecurity and promote NRP’s programs and initiatives.
  • Monitor social media trends and suggest strategies to increase engagement and reach a wider audience.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop innovative ways to engage and connect with our target audience.
  1. Event Coordination Assistance:
  • Assist NRP staff and Board with the planning and executing community events focused on food insecurity awareness and fundraising.
  • Assist with event logistics, including scheduling, RSVP management, and coordination of materials.
  • Provide on-site support during events, including set-up, registration, and coordination with speakers and participants.
  1. Administrative Duties:
  • Provide general administrative support, including data entry, file management, and correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passionate about addressing food insecurity and making a positive impact in the community.

Note: This is a paid internship. Applicants must provide their own transportation and housing.  This job will require 15-20 hours per week with a flexible schedule based on the NRP event schedule. Rate is $18-20/hour based on experience and skillset. This internship will be primarily remote with in-person hours determined by the Director of Development & Operations.
